Humpa,
what advice would you give to someone starting in php? I'm slowly starting to learn little bits & pieces but trying to learn something new at my age takes longer than it did 10 years ago! (Believe me, I talking from experience here - I got a unicycle for Christmas and I'm surprised there's no broken bones yet )
I've been looking around the net and I see there are php editors available - would you say something like this would be a useful tool or do you think the best way is to just use something like Notepad and work things out for yourself?

I'm not Humpa, but I do develop alot of stuff using a mix of languages. I've done HTML, CSS, JAVA, JavaScript, PHP, Perl, VB, SQL...basically almost anything, besides C++. Anyways...I've always used an editor called Context. it's really amazing, and you can instantly switch between any language that you want. And best of all, it's free. Also, there are tons of things to download that add onto the program, all free, all made by people like you and me. You can find it here: http://www.context.cx/
Good Luck, and I hope your learning PHP goes well. _________________ i am so donzo... |
