I got a little mobile.php and delete_mobile.php set of scripts that work fine with normal computer web browsers, Openwave's phone simulator and WERE working with my VX7000.
But the new VX8600 refuses to show the thumbnails. It will show the small image used to represent videos.
Perhaps a problem with the new phone and phpThumbs? _________________ Gearscout |

you'll need to trouble shoot it.
View the source of the page and copy some of it.
Take just the code from one img tag and paste it into an html file and upload it. Point your phone to this test page and see what happens.
There is something wrong with the html code that the 8600's openwave browswer doesn't like - either that or it is something with the proxy you are using. |

OK, I'll try that.
Just discovered it works FINE on my daughter's site...should be the same files, but there must be something that got changed unintentionally. When I moved my sites recently, I may have messed up the backups.
Thanks! _________________ Gearscout |

Problem solved.
Uploaded version of phpThumb.config.php that was working on one server to the other two and western civilization's hopes and dreams were restored.
By pulling the code out, as you advised, and uploading a test file, I was able to see that something was amiss with phpThumbs...it was delivering blue screens.
Don't quite UNDERSTAND what was wrong, and why it displayed fine on the Simulator and computer browsers, but there was obviously something in there that it didn't like. I am on a different gateway now...Verizon's with VCast, which MAY have had something to do with it.
Thanks, as always for pointing us in the right direction Mr. Humpa! _________________ Gearscout |
