Hi Humpa,
Went to this webpage u recommended on HoFo (http://www.v710.org/mark/V710_TransFlash.htm) and could not find the answer.. maybe u can help me directly?
I have Motorola E815 and wanted to know the different ways of how to get one of the preloaded ringtones that came with the phone onto my new phone LG Venus. if not, then what are the differnet ways to get regular ringtones i have onto the venus.
Also, I'm using verizon... what in your opinon is the best phone currently out there with great call quality and sound on speakerphone (i loved my E815 but its dieing now). been using the venus for over a week now and still not absolutely loving the call quality
Thanks,
Gina |

I like the LG Voyager, though I don't like the touchscreen much. But that's fine with me, because I liked the enV too and the enV has a useless front screen so I'm used to flipping it open to use it anyway. Plus for phone calls I just use a Bluetooth headset so I never need to touch the phone for calls.
I would recommend reading the LG forums at HowardForums. And they have a special subforums for the Voyager.
There are instructions for using BitPim to add ringtones to LG phones. But for ringtones from the E815, I don''t know if you can save those. but http://mark.cdmaforums.com has tons of ringtones in the ringtones link - lots of default ringtones, you know?
Here's the LG and Voyager forums:

Just a guess, so I maybe I should mind my beeswax, but.......
I'd start with accessing the ringtone on your e815, flagging it by pressing 0, then "copy marked files" to copy it to your micro SD card. Here, it gets a little cumbersome (and theoretical, as I've got my daughter's Venus less than 24 hours and my Voyager won't arrive till Tuesday) but back up the micro SD card in your computer, then reformat the card for the Venus (or, use another card). Access the ringtone on the Venus and copy it to the phone (on an e815, this requires also creating a playlist). That, at least, is what I would try. _________________ cellphone user since 1992

I should have minded my beeswax; my Voyager has since arrived, and "accessing the ringtone" on the card is not happenin'; BitPim may be the only easy way. Keep us posted if you discover otherwise. _________________ cellphone user since 1992
