Humpa,
Where does "Thanks for the fish!" come from?
When a web user tries to access the media directory without a "/" at the end, they get that little message.
I'm just doing some long overdue maintenance on the site, working with error files and came across it. _________________ Gearscout |

The send.php file has the "thanks for the fish" message.
If the $_POST variable is empty, then the send.php file gives the message "thanks for the fish". If the $_POST variable is not empty (like when an mms message is being sent), then the send.php processes the $_POST variable instead.
"So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish" is from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. |

So long and thanks for all the fish
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dear?
You may not share our intellect
Which might explain your disrespect
For all the natural wonders that
grow around you
So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

That was what the dolphins were trying to communicate. But how did the human's perceive it? |

You know, I just watched the movie the other night on "On Demand" cable.
But I never linked it to that!
It's a nice touch, Humpa! _________________ Gearscout |

The movie sucked. And so did the mini-series that the BBC did (was it the BBC?).
But if you read the books, you can get amusement out of the movie. But that's only because you remember the humor in the book. So I guess if you want the actual humor of the story, you gotta read the books.
I read a good quote in one of the movie reviews back when it was released. I don't recall exactly how it was put, but they said the movie was missing something that the books had. They said that the movie tried to capture the essence of the books, except they missed something - and that was that the books were funny.
... ok, back to downloading Yellow Dog Linux for my ps3. |

The movie wasn't nearly what it COULD have been.
But take heart, Humpa's MMS server is sublime!
