Hi Humpa,
See you a lot on Howards forum, thanks for all your mentoring!
I never had any problems on my LG8100 but now, on my LG8350 verizon, I keep getting :

"Error: Requested content-blah blah blah- cannot be accessed. You do not have access to the site."

This comes up more times than not on links and whenever I try to access my ATT webmail, <http://webmail.att.net/pnc/pnm>. I get this on all the homepages I tried so far. I get it even on the links on your WAP homepage.

Is this due to heavy traffic? Or is there a fix I can try?
BTW, I really like the photo on your homepage-very cool!
Thanks!
Jeff

Sounds like you are not using a valid proxy.
What are you using for a proxy?

And I'm glad you liked my pic (whatever pic that is Wink )

I clicked on your IP address (I have the IP's linked right to a "whois" info page) to see where you were from before I added you - I wasn't sure if you were a spammer. You're in Brooklyn? I'm going to Brooklyn in a few weeks for a podcast thing - am staying at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriot. I'm looking forward to getting some good pics (am more interested in that, than the podcast stuff ... lol)

Well,
I am connecting to wapsites at times. Your wap homepage comes up pretty quickly. I am using a different proxy than on my 8100, 165.228.131.12 and port setting of 80. I just connected to CBS sportline via your wap homepage but got the error message while trying another link like news or EMail/IM. BTW, I didn't change my secondary proxy or port, it's the original Verizon setting.

I'm in Forest Hills Queens. About 8 miles away from downtown Brooklyn. You'll get some nice shots of Brooklyn Bridge, manhattan on the the Promenade. Some great architecture. Near the Bridge is a couple of excellent restaurants with great views of Manhattan. Grimaldi's has real ole time NY Coal oven pizza, the River Cafe or Peter Luger's (Steak) if you are on an expense account, I think the Water Street Restaurant and Lounge still has free wifi in the bar section.

I was referring to the Matrix like mirror photo on the PHP homepage-very cool!
Thanks!
Jeff

Thanks for the tips! Very Happy

That proxy seems to work fine - I have the proxy switcher add-on in Firefox, so I plugged that IP in real quick. I went to a few sites, and a few sites from my wap.humpa.com page - they seemed to work fine, though a tad slow but not bad. Though the FOX mobile site didn't want to come up.

I'm not sure why your phone is having issues ... seems odd.
Is it always the same pages/sites that won't load?

Nope it changes. I just tried to input 7 urls, and 5 of them came up w/o a problem and very quickly. of course the ATT webmail one still came up with the error. I also tried to mark one of the pages a a favorite on the menu, but it didn't work. I'm assuming I will need to mod a parameter file on the 8350 to access that menu feature?
I appreciate your time in this. I have been bouncing around Howards for hours before reaching out to you. Of course the one thing I really would need to access (my EMs) is giving me the problem!

I don't know, but it could be the proxy.

You might want to sign up at zaksenterprises.com and get access to their free proxy

As to the Favorites, that is actually a Verizon page (they store your links and show them on that page), not a feature on the phone. So that won't work unless you sign up for Mobile Web.

Thanks Humpa,
I'll give Dave Zaks a try. I was trying to avoid the ads, but what the hey!
I'll look at my LG8100 proxy settings too and give that a try.
I just saw that the menu was VZW owned on Howards, thanks!
At the very least I still have WAP access, and able to tether my laptop. Too bad I can't mod the navigator!
Thanks for trying to help!
See you on Howards or your forums!
Jeff

I think the GIN backup thing works on the 8350, if that's what you mean about the Navigator mod. I've never done that though, and don't know exactly how. But I'm sure there is info if you search google.
